Originally starting in Dorchester, Mario's Trattoria continues to bring authentic Italian flavor to the wonderful state of Massachusetts. The Sanfilippo family migrated from Porticello, Sicily in hopes of finding the American dream.
Arriving in New York in 1972, Francesca and Francesco Sanfilippo decided to make Boston their new home. The couple and their 6 children created Mario's Trattoria as a way to pursue their American dream and share the flavors and experience they knew from home.
Today Mario's continues to share that experience and we hope you love it as much as our family does. Come by and enjoy the original recipes of Nonna Francesca and her family! If you get here early enough, you may even catch Francesca making her famous meatballs, soups, and much more.
